Hi, I’m Peiyu, a needle-felting fiber artist based in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. Each piece I create is a small handmade world inspired by the quiet charm of animals and the stories they seem to carry. I shape wool into lifelike miniature sculptures that feel as though they have wandered out of a storybook, not just in how they look, but in who they seem to be in the moment: curious, content, brave, or a little mischievous. Every sculpture is one of a kind, made by hand with care to bring a sense of warmth, stillness, and imagination into your home.

       Each sculpture begins with a wire armature to create the basic pose. From there, I wrap and layer sheep wool over the frame, using felting needles to slowly shape the form and build details such as muscles, fur texture, and expression. I often study wildlife photos for reference, while also following a story in my mind that helps guide each animal’s posture and personality. Thank you for stopping by.
